Autism Survey

By Rosemarie Griffin

Introduction/ABA Speech Mission

If we haven’t met yet, I want to introduce myself! My name is Rosemarie Griffin, founder and owner of ABA Speech. If we’ve met, I’d like to share a little more information about myself so we can become better acquainted! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In addition to my work with ABA Speech, I also work in the public schools 3 days per week. As a Speech-Language Pathologist and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, I love working in both public and private settings as it gives me an opportunity to see many different types of situations and students and adjust my communication techniques to cater to individual needs. In addition to my roles as a Speech-Language Pathologist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I am also a consultant, product developer, and speaker. Through all of these roles, I am dedicated to helping those who support individuals within the autism population, through providing systematic language instruction with ease. Our mission at ABA Speech is to help students improve overall communication skills, helping them to become more independent communicators. We’re all about helping all individuals expand their communication skills-step by step!

Our Audience

At ABA Speech, our content is audience driven! Whether you are a parent of a child with autism, a Speech-Language Pathologist, a special education professional, or any other individual helping to support those in the autism population and other complex communication disorders, you are our audience! Working with students with autism and other complex communication disorders can be challenging. We strive to support those working with the autism population or with other communication needs by providing information and resources daily on social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.). We also offer weekly podcasts through Apple Podcast and through our YouTube channel. Our podcasts include a mix of solo shows and expert interviews to provide you with tips and strategies to use in your therapy sessions. We’d love to connect with you through one (or more) of these outlets; I look forward to collaborating with you!

Survey

Ultimately, ABA Speech wants to ensure we are providing resources to best support you and that we’re available to answer any questions you might have. We constantly stive to offer and develop content that is most relevant to our audience! To help with this, we’ve created a survey for you to complete to help us better meet your needs. In this survey, we poll our audience (parents, special education professionals, speech-language pathologists, etc.) to ask how we can best serve you. We’d like to get a better pulse on your biggest struggles, our most helpful products (and potential products we could create); and other ways we can provide more comprehensive support. In effort to continue to provide new support for those in our audience, ABA Speech is exploring a couple of new ideas to potentially pilot-so exciting!! These new supports would be a course for students as well as an online community. The course would be offered for students who are using single words to communicate and are ready to move onto more advanced language skills. The online community would provide training and new monthly therapy materials as well as the ability to connect with others and ask questions. Through this, we hope we can better support you and those you are working with. I am so excited to share more information with you soon; we’ve included sections on these new supports in our survey to get your feedback! As an incentive, we’ll be choosing one member who completes the survey to receive an Amazon gift card! We hope you’ll complete the survey to help ABA Speech better serve you!
