Description: This course will help SLPs identify the reasons behind students’ problem behaviors. It will also discuss strategies to use during therapy sessions when these behaviors are barriers to learning and engagement.

- After this course, participants will be able to define functional behavior assessment.
- After this course, participants will be able to state 4 strategies to use during therapy to increase learner engagement and decrease problem behavior.
Time Ordered Agenda:
0- 10 minutes Introduction
10-30 minutes Why Problem Behavior May Occur and What is an FBA
30-45 minutes Strategies to use during therapy to increase learner engagement and decrease problem behavior
45-60 minutes Case Study

When you fill out the survey a certificate will be sent to your email. If noted your participation will be reported to ASHA 60-90 days after this training. The CEU form must be completed by September3rd, 2024
