Description: In this course participants will learn how to define the tenets of neurodiversity and how to make
their practice more compassionate, inclusive and socially just. Lecture will be used to illustrate
these points.

Learning Outcomes
● Learning Objective 1: Attendees will be able to know how to define the tenets of
neurodiversity.
● Learning Objective 2: Attendees will be able to know how to respond with compassion to
criticisms levied against the field of applied behavior analysis.
● Learning Objective 3: Attendees will be able to identify 3 actionable steps to make their
ABA practices more inclusive and socially just.
Time Ordered Agenda:
0-5 minutes: Introduction
5-15 minutes: What is Neurodiversity? Know the terminology
15-30 minutes: Social model of disability
30-50 minutes: Criticisms of ABA and how to modify ABA practices to be Neurodiversity

50-60 minutes: Call to Action/Discussion/Questions
To complete the course, attend the webinar live, take the survey (link provided when you purchase this product and included in a follow-up email). When you fill out the survey a certificate will be sent to your email. If noted your participation will be reported to ASHA 60-90 days after this training. The CEU form must be completed by July 30th, 2024
