Bio: Rosemarie Griffin, MA, CCC/SLP BCBA, is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Product Developer. She divides her time between a public school and a private school for students with autism in Ohio. She is passionate about helping individuals with autism find their voice and become more independent communicators. Course Description: In this course, the ethical code will be reviewed. Ethical social media use and collaborative services will also be discussed. In addition, resources and strategies to practice ethically are outlined. Videos and lecture are used to convey this material.

Learner Outcomes:

  • List 3 resources to access evidenced based strategies to adhere to principles of the code.
  • List 3 strategies for ethical social media use.
  • List the 4 IPEC (2016) core competencies for interprofessional collaborative practice.

0-10 minutes Introduction
10-50 minutes Ethical Code Highlights and Resources
50-70 minutes Ethical Social Media Use
70-85 minutes SLP Interview about Ethical Social Media Use
85-90 minutes IPEC Core Competencies
90-100 minutes Ethical Collaborative Practices 100-125 SLP Interviews about Ethical Collaborative Practice
125-130 Key Point Review

Login and logout times will be recorded and documented. To complete the course, view the webinar, take the quiz and survey (included in an email). When you complete all sections of the course, a form will populate asking if you would like your participation reported to ASHA. Fill this form out with the required information and your participation will be reported to ASHA. 

When you have completed these requirements a certificate will be available in your profile.
