Beyond the Session: Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) for Patient Engagement and Private Practice Sustainability

SLPs ask patients and caregivers to complete home programs between visits, but most clinicians have limited visibility into what happens once the session ends. Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) gives outpatient SLPs a way to monitor patient engagement, adherence, and response to therapy through qualifying digital technology, and it creates a reimbursement pathway for work many clinicians are already doing. This course will introduce RTM through a private practice lens. Participants will review the RTM code structure, clinical workflow considerations, and practical ways RTM can support patient carryover and care plan decisions. Clinical examples will show how RTM may be used to track home program engagement, adherence, patient response to therapy, and clinician time management between sessions.
