AAC Assessment
This presentation will discuss assessment for alternative and augmentative communication supports. Assessment tools will be discussed and considerations for AAC supports will be outlined. Variables to consider in assessment, such as feature matching, access to AAC and accessibility options will be discussed.

Barbara Weber, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCBA, is a speech-language pathologist in private practice. She currently serves on the Professional Development Committee and the Coordinating Committee for ASHA’s special interest group for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (SIG 12). Ms. Weber is the co-author of two books about early intervention.
